Eight terrorists escape Indian prison after killing one guard
Eight terrorists belonging to the Students Islamic Movement of India (SMI) group escaped from prison in Madhya Pradesh state in India, local media reported Monday.
Around 2:00 a.m. local time on Monday (20:30 GMT Sunday) eight prisoners killed the guard and fled Bhopal Central Jail, the NDTV television broadcaster reported. The SMI organization, banned in India since 2001, was set up in 1977 with a goal to expunge Western influence from India.
