Halloween: Barack & Michelle Obama dance to Michael Jackson`s Thriller -VIDEO
The Obamas saw out their final White House Halloween party in memorable style Monday with a goofy re-enactment of the dance from Michael Jackson`s `Thriller` and a marathon candy-distribution session to dozens of kids in fancy dress.
Michelle, wearing a striking yellow-and-brown dress, and Obama, clad in a comfy, Halloween-appropriate grey-shirt-black-dad-sweater combo, stepped up to the stage before a crowd of local and military kids.

`We’ve been working on a little dance. We don’t know how it’s going to go, but we think we should all just try it anyway,` Obama said before the pair broke into a performance of Michael Jackson`s`Thriller` that made up in charm what it lacked in slickness.

The First Couple also handed out candy to local children and the kids of military personnel on the White House lawn - and got a cheeky surprise from a young boy dressed as a `lame duck`.

The flash-mob zombies were too late for candy, it seems - though whether the undead would have wanted sweet treats rather than sweet meats remains unknown

The Obamas` duties didn`t end on the stage - the couple were also seen at the South Portico door of the White House, handing out seemingly endless bags of candy to kids in fancy dress.

The costumes took all shapes and sizes, from March Hares - fitting the `Alice in Wonderland` theme of the event - to superheroes like Batman and Wonder Woman.

And there were a number of mini-Obamas present, too, complete with tiny tailored suits.

But one cheeky child stole the show by dressing as a lame duck - an unwelcome reminder for Barack Obama of the label he`s spent the last eight years trying to shake off.

As seen in footage captured by ABC, however, the Obamas took it in good grace: While Obama seemed a little perturbed, Michelle put on a big grin as she handed the boy some candy.

While the Obamas were the star attraction at the event, there was plenty of spectacle outside of their appearances, thanks to the impressive `Alice in Wonderland` theme and the many, many performers
