Thousands of Paris Las Vegas guests forced out of Casino Hotel amid blackout
Thousands of people were evacuated from the Paris Las Vegas casino hotel after a major power outage, its operator Caesars Entertainment Corporation said.
"Since we are not able to determine the exact time power will be restored to Paris we have decided to help all of our displaced guests find other accommodations for the evening," Caesars Entertainment said in a Thursday statement, as quoted by KTNV Las Vegas.

Power went out in Paris on Thursday morning, reportedly because workers cut into the main power line in the basement. The evacuation was initiated in the afternoon as the battery power was running low, according to Caesars Entertainment.

KTNV said that about 3,000 people were evacuated and that 11 people were rescued out of elevators.

No injuries were reported.
