US bureau of shipping to audit Azerbaijani company
The American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) classification society has started the audit of the Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company CJSC, the Azerbaijani company’s website said Nov. 4.
The audit is being conducted in accordance with the international management standards, in the spheres of security, ecology, energy efficiency and labor protection.

“The audit will be carried out in the structural units of the shipping company’s governing body, as well as at the Yarenga tugboat and Shirvan crane ship,” reads the message.

The bureau will define and analyze the levels of compliance of work and documentation organization on onshore and offshore facilities with the international management standards, the message said.

The audit will be finished November 7.

The American Bureau of Shipping is the US classification society which develops standards for the construction and maintenance of ships, and it classifies ships on the basis of these standards.
