A bus fell into a gorge on Saturday near the Indian town of Mandi in the northern state of Himachal Pradesh, leaving at least 16 people killed and 28 more injured, local media reported.

The incident occurred about 200 kilometers (about 124 miles) from the state’s capital of Shimla when the bus was heading from Mandi to the town of Kullu, the Hindustan Times reported. The cause of the incident remains unknown.
