6 members of family shot in Armenia and Russian serviceman suspected of murder named

6 members of a family shot in Armenia and Russian serviceman suspected of committing the murder have been named.

Sonna Truzyan, spokesperson for Armenia’s Investigation Committee issued statement in this regard, Armenian media reports.

She said that boots of Valery Permyakov, serviceman of the 102nd Russian military base dislocated in Gyumri, were found from the scene.

The killed persons are Seryoja Avetisyan, his wife Asmik, daughter Aida, son Armen, his wife Araks and their 1 year 8 months old child Asmik Avetisyan. Alive six-month-old Seryoja Armenovich Avetisyan was hospitalized with stab wounds. The baby underwent surgeon and is reportedly in critical condition.

The deceased family’s neighbor said that they heard the sound of explosion or fire at 06:20. Their bodies were found by the home owner`s sister.

Commander of the Russia`s military base Andrey Ruzinsky arrived on the scene.
