Azerbaijani CEC to observe US presidential election
Chairman of Azerbaijan’s Central Election Commission (CEC) Mazahir Panahov is on his visit to the US in order to observe presidential election in the country, the CEC told on Nov. 8.
Panahov, who visited the US at the invitation of William Sweeney, president and CEO of the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES), will participate in various events related to the election in the US, and will also meet the heads of supreme electoral structures of a number of countries and international organizations.

The CEC chairman will also observe the election process at polling stations on the election day.

Panahov will also attend the 7th Global Electoral Organization (GEO-7) Conference, which will take place on Nov. 9, at the invitation of the IFES president.

The US presidential elections will be held Nov. 8.

Main candidates are Hillary Clinton (Democratic Party) and Donald Trump (Republican Party).
