Californians reportedly vote to legalize recreational marijuana use
Residents of the US state of California approved the Proposition 64, making the recreational use of marijuana legal in the state, local media reported Wednesday.
The proposition allows state residents of over 21 to buy, carry and use up to an ounce (28.5 grams) of marijuana for recreational purposes, Los Angeles Times newspaper reported.

Californians voted in favor of the law six years after they narrowly rejected it. Medical use of cannabis became legal in the state 20 years ago.
