According to the WJPA radio, the incident happened in the town of Canonsburg. The officers were responding to a domestic disturbance at 03:30 local time (08:30 GMT).
Mayor Dave Rhome confirmed to the media outlet that two officers had been shot, but did not know in what condition they were. One officer was reportedly airlifted to a hospital.
A manhunt for the suspect is reportedly underway.
