He pointed to the bilateral ties in the spheres of economy, science, education and culture. “Today around 170 German companies operate in Azerbaijan. The favourable investment environment in Azerbaijan will help increase this figure in the future,” said the Speaker of the Parliament.
He hailed reciprocal visits of MPs of the two countries and their meetings in influential international organizations.
Asadov lauded Germany’s role in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement. He expressed his hope that the dispute will soon be solved within international law.
Ambassador Kindsgrab vowed to do his utmost to further strengthen relations between Germany and Azerbaijan during his diplomatic tenure.
He noted that Germany is interested in developing relations with this part of the Caucasus. “There are wide opportunities to further expand relations in the inter-parliamentary, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres,” he added.
