"The state of emergency allows us to make arrests and employ other administrative measures that are very effective… Therefore, yes, we will probably extend the emergency state for a few more months," Valls told BBC`s HARDtalk program.
Valls added that it would be difficult to cancel the emergency state as the presidential campaign would soon begin with its meetings and mass gatherings.
