Azerbaijan eyes establishing ‘Order of Labor’

Azerbaijan eyes establishing ‘Order of Labor’

Azerbaijan’s parliament is considering the possibility of establishing a new “Order of Labor” to award individuals for outstanding achievements in the development of Azerbaijan.

This is reflected in amendments proposed to the law "On the establishment of orders and medals of Azerbaijan", which was discussed by the parliamentary Committee on law policy and state building on Nov. 15.

Under the amendments, the Order of Labor will be awarded to the citizens of Azerbaijan, foreigners and stateless persons for outstanding labor achievements in any field of activity, aimed at ensuring the welfare and development of Azerbaijan.

The draft amendments were proposed to the parliament’s plenary session.
