Trump receives first intelligence daily briefing

US President-elect Donald Trump has received on Tuesday the first presidential daily briefing from intelligence officials, the US media reported.

The top-secret intelligence briefing took place in Trump Tower in New York City on Tuesday afternoon, according to ABC News referring to sources familiar with the presidential transition process.

Prior to the November 8 presidential election, the White House ordered the security services to provide the winner of the contest with full access to materials in order to guarantee a smooth transition. Trump won the presidential election by securing the necessary 270 electoral votes. The presidential inauguration is scheduled to be held on January 20, 2017.
