Topcu noted that the Khojaly genocide was witnessed by the world.
“Had this conflict not taken place, Azerbaijan would’ve been a key to well-being in the region and beyond. There is an attempt to stop Azerbaijan [from prospering],” the presidential advisor said, adding. “The welfare of Asia has to do with Azerbaijan’s prosperity, and Turkey’s means the prosperity of the Balkans, the Middle East, and Africa. No one can cause regimes in the region to change as long as Turkey is on its feet.”
He stressed that the 15 July coup attempt was aimed at bringing down Turkey.
“But we proved capable of protecting our independence and future, continuing to be the hope of oppressed nations,” said Topcu.
