12 caught red-handed by Anti-Corruption Department operational group
The Anti-Corruption Department under the Prosecutor-General of Azerbaijan received totally 64 appeals from law enforcement agencies last year.
Chief of Anti-Corruption Department under Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev said at a press conference on the outcomes of 2014 that criminal cases were launched agaisnt 45 of them.

Aliyev noted that 28 of them were sent by the Ministry of National Security, 12 by the Ministry of Emergency Situations, 9 by the Ministry of Justice, 7 by the State Migration Service and 5 by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

He stressed that as a result of the operation carried out by the operational group of the Anti-Corruption Department, 12 people were caught red-handed last year.
