We are seeking ways to capitalize the Azerbaijan Deposit Insurance Fund, head of the Financial Markets Supervisory Authority Rifat Aslanli said at the banking forum.
According to him, the Fund has paid AZN 710 million for 11 banks: “Currently, AZN 45 million is expected to be paid to 130,000 depositors. ADIF has sufficient liquid funds for fulfillment of this obligation. Loan was allocated to the ADIF under the state guarantee. However, these credits are liabilities of the Fund’s and banking industry before the government and the Central Bank. In order to pay these liabilities, the banking industry has to work hard”.
