MFA reduces period for review of applications from foreigners staying in Azerbaijan
The Board of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan has made amendments to the “Administrative regulation on admission of applications by Azerbaijanis living abroad and foreigners and stateless persons staying in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan”.
According to the regulation, Foreign Ministry’s electronic service “https://azvision.az/redirect.php?url=http://mfa.gov.az/?options=content&id=245&language=az” includes electronic admission, review and response to the applications of Azerbaijanis living abroad and foreigners and stateless persons staying in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

According to the amendment, period of execution of the electronic service was reduced. So far, an application has been processed within 1 (one) month unless the other was stipulated by the legislation, and applications that do not need additional review have been processed within not more than 15 (fifteen) days.

An application shall be processed within 30 working days unless the other was stipulated by the legislation, and applications that do not need additional review are processed within not more than 15 working days.

The processing period of the application may be extended in exceptional cases maximum by one month when a special review, additional materials or other measures are required and the person is notified about it.

If the required information may lose its importance while the request for getting the information is being processed, the application is processed immediately, if it is impossible then in no later than 24 hours.
