Turkish jets kill 9 PKK terrorists in SE Turkey
At least nine PKK terrorists were killed in the southeastern Turkish provinces of Sirnak and Diyarbakir, the Turkish army said Thursday.
The Turkish General Staff announced on its website that seven PKK terrorists were killed in an airstrike in the Lice district of southeastern Turkey’s Diyarbakir province where a rocket launcher, a machine gun and a rifle were also seized.

Meanwhile, the Turkish military conducted airstrikes on camps of the terrorist PKK group located in the province of Sirnak, killing two PKK terrorists.

Turkish jets have been carrying out airstrikes against PKK positions across the border in Iraq, since the group -- considered a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S., and the EU -- resumed its 30-year armed campaign against the Turkish state in July last year.

Since then, PKK terrorist attacks have martyred more than 600 security personnel and also claimed the lives of many civilians, including women and children, while more than 7,000 PKK terrorists were killed in army operations.
