8,500 civilians escape E. Aleppo as Syrian Army frees neighborhoods – MoD
Over 8,500 civilians, including some 4,000 children, have escaped militant-held parts of eastern Aleppo, as the Syrian army liberated 14 neighborhoods where about 300,000 people were living, the Russian Centre for Reconciliation of Opposing Parties reported on Tuesday.
In the course of the large-scale offensive, which lasted well into night, 140 militants laid down their arms and left the city via humanitarian corridors.

They are to be pardoned by Syria’s president. All civilians, as well as former rebels, have been provided with the necessary medical assistance, shelter, and food, the statement said.
