He added that the Mexican embassy in Azerbaijan began its activity in 2014.
The ambassador said that the opening of diplomatic missions contributed to an increase in the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Mexico.
By reaching its peak after the opening of embassies, the trade volume between Azerbaijan and Mexico remains at a high level, he said.
Labardini recalled that according to the Azerbaijani side, the mutual trade between Azerbaijan and Mexico amounted to about $22 million in 2015.
He said that Mexico ranks second in the volumes of economy in Latin America, and Mexico’s economy is the 14th largest economy in the world.
Mexico`s exports reached $381 billion in 2015, he said.
Labardini said that Mexico is a big producer of electrical appliances, pipes and various equipment used in the oil industry.
Mexico is one of the biggest exporters of beer and other food products and is ready to offer these products to Azerbaijan.
The ambassador also said that Mexico supplied a large batch of sugar to Azerbaijan in 2015.
