President Ilham Aliyev arrives in Aghdam -UPDATED

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and his spouse Mehriban Aliyeva have today arrived in Aghdam district for a visit.

The head of state and his spouse laid flowers at the statue of national leader Heydar Aliyev in Quzanli settlement of Aghdam district.

Head of Aghdam District Executive Authority Raqub Mammadov informed President Ilham Aliyev and his spouse Mehriban Aliyeva about the work and projects recently carried out in the district.

President Aliyev lays foundation of Mugham Center in Guzanli settlement

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and his spouse Mehriban Aliyeva have attended a ground breaking ceremony of the Mugham Center in Guzanli settlement, Aghdam.

The center will be built with support and on the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

The building will occupy a total area of 1,800 square meters.

The center will house a 60 car-parking lot, 328-seat assembly hall, gallery, decoration, make-up and waiting rooms.

President Ilham Aliyev laid a foundation stone for the center.

President Aliyev inaugurates Flag Museum in Aghdam district

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and his wife Mehriban Aliyeva have attended the inauguration of newly constructed Flag Museum in Guzanli, Aghdam district.

The head of state cut the ribbon symbolizing the opening of the Museum.

President Ilham Aliyev and his spouse Mehriban Aliyeva were informed that the construction work started this year. The museum occupies a total area of 300 square meters. All necessary conditions were created in the Museum where 146 exhibits can be showcased.

The Flag Museum highlights different periods of Azerbaijan`s history, the flags and emblems of the states which existed in the territory of Azerbaijan, maps, constitutions, orders and medals as well as national symbols.

There are photo stands reflecting the life and activities of national leader Heydar Aliyev.

The head of state and his spouse were informed that the building occupies a total area of 1900 square metres.

The center houses a 130-seat assembly hall, 3D movie theatre, 20-seat conference hall and drawing room.
