New deposits of gold, silver, copper discovered in Azerbaijan
Explorations conducted in the gold deposits in the Azerbaijani part of the South Caucasus suggest that the gold deposit Tulallar, located in Azerbaijan’s Goygol district, about 35 km from the district center, is promising, the National Geological Exploration Service of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources told AzVision.az.
It is noted that according to the results of mining and excavation work carried out in quartzite areas of the Tulallar deposit, ore thickness on the earth’s surface and in horizontal cave passages varies between 12 and 90 meters (0.4-33.5 g/t gold, 0.5-48.4 g/t silver).

Resources in the gold deposit are close to Gadabay gold-copper and Chovdar gold deposits, and the mine’s mountain-technical location is more favorable for exploitation compared to the other two fields.

At the same time, an independent group from the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources has used the eco-friendly method of flotation while studying the technological procedures of a piece of ore of the Tulallar deposit and a high gold concentration (90%) was extracted.

The exploration of Bashqilaq field in Goranboy district in recent years has lead to the discovery of areas with potential gold, silver and copper concentration (0.4-2.2 g/t gold, 2-4.2g/t silver).

In addition, explorations conducted in Azgilli field of Goygol district have produced positive results.
