AMOR did a great job in past eight years - Leyla Aliyeva
Azerbaijani Youth Organization of Russia (AMOR) has done a great job over the past eight years, said the organization’s chairperson Leyla Aliyeva, who is also the vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
She made the remarks addressing the AMOR’s 7th forum that kicked off in Moscow Dec. 6.

“During these years, the main goal of AMOR was preserving ancient traditions, rich culture and history of Azerbaijan, respecting all religions and people and integrating into the Russian society,” Aliyeva said, noting that love to Azerbaijan brings together members of the organization.

She said AMOR has more than 60 regional offices in Russia and this is the biggest achievement of the organization.

Aliyeva stressed that Azerbaijani young people are very sensitive towards the country’s history.

AMOR, in the framework of the international awareness campaign “Justice for Khojaly”, organizes commemorative events in several countries every year, Aliyeva said and recalled that next year Azerbaijanis will commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Khojaly genocide.
