UNESCO interested in implementing different projects with Azerbaijan
Director-General of UNESCO Irina Bokova has expressed the organization`s interest in implementing projects with Azerbaijan in a variety of areas. As she met with Azerbaijani Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfas Garayev in Paris, Irina Bokova hailed the importance of the recent high-level gathering of the Baku Process working group.
They exchanged views on the ways of expanding cooperation in the fields of culture and heritage, Baku Process initiative of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, and the 4th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue to be held next year.

Minister Qarayev stressed the important role of Azerbaijani first lady, UNESCO and ISESCO goodwill ambassador Mehriban Aliyeva in developing relations between Azerbaijan and UNESCO.

Irina Bokova also emphasized outstanding contribution of Azerbaijan and Mehriban Aliyeva to UNESCO`s activities, as well as to the protection of cultural heritage in her own country and in many other member countries.
