Incident in Armenian army leaves one soldier dead, another wounded - UPDATED
An Armenian soldier died in Nagorno-Karabakh, according to Armenian News – news.am.
Armenian media released information about the incident that took place in the Armenian army stationed in Nagorno-Karabakh.

On Thursday afternoon, soldier Albert Postolokyan, who was on combat duty, threw a grenade at the shelter, which wounded a fellow soldier (Garnik Terteryan) who was resting inside, according to Armenian News - news.am.

Having committed the act, Postolokyan shot himself to death with his automatic rifle.

Terteryan was hospitalized.

The fact is under investigation.

Fresh details have emerged of a fatal incident that took place in the Armenian army last night.

According to Armenian social network users, on the night of December 8th, a dispute erupted between soldier Albert Postolokyan, conscripted to serve in Nagorno-Karabakh from the Armenian town of Dilijan, and another soldier Garnik Derderyan. As a result, the latter threw a grenade at Postolokyan.

Postolokyan died and Derderyan received severe shrapnel wounds as the grenade exploded. He is reportedly in critical condition.

According to information, Albert Postolokyan (born in 1996) sustained a fatal gunshot on Thursday evening in the direction of Azerbaijan’s Aghdere district, occupied and controlled by Armenian armed forces.
