The US-led coalition against the Islamic State carried out an airstrike on a civilian district in the northern province of Raqqa that reportedly killed 18 people and injured many more on December 7, according to the information obtained by the Information and Press Department of Russia’s Foreign Ministry.
“These reports cause great concern … missile and bombing raids targeting and killing ordinary Syrians are unacceptable and should be harshly condemned. It’s hard to accept “mistakes” or “negligence” as an explanation widely used by those who came to Syria without an invitation,” the Russian statement said.
