Egypt’s Interior Ministry has confirmed that six policemen were killed as a result of an explosion of an improvised explosive device in Cairo`s Haram area on Friday, local media reported.
According to the ministry, there were two officers among the dead, the Masrawy news portal said. Three policemen were injured. Earlier reports emerged that the device was likely to have been placed in a garbage bin near a police post.
