According to media reports, South Korean political parties agreed to convene an extraordinary parliamentary session to work out stabilization measures to prevent economic slowdown amid impeachment of President Park Geun-hye.
South Korean political parties agreed to convene an extraordinary parliamentary session to work out stabilization measures to prevent economic slowdown amid impeachment of President Park Geun-hye, local media reported on Monday.

According to Yonhap news agency, the parliamentary session will start on Thursday and run through December 31. The parties will reportedly focus on efforts to create jobs, bolster economy and handle pending bills.

On Friday, South Korea`s parliament voted in favor of removing Park from office, after the president got involved in the political scandal around "secret adviser" Choi Soon-sil, who pressured the county`s biggest corporations and extorted money from them for her non-commercial funds abroad. South Korea`s Prime Minister Hwang Kyo-ahn has become acting president until the constitutional court approves or rejects the motion.
