At least 34 detained in Europol`s operation against users of DDoS tools
Europol and law enforcement authorities from different European countries and the US carried out a coordinated action targeting users of Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) cyber-attack tools, leading to 34 arrests and 101 suspects interviewed and cautioned, according to official statement.
At least 34 people were detained in a recent operation of the EU law enforcement agency Europol against young people, who had been using Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) tools for cyberattacks, Europol`s press service said in a statement Monday.

"Europol and law enforcement authorities from Australia, Belgium, France, Hungary, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Sweden, the United Kingdom and the United States carried out a coordinated action targeting users of Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) cyber-attack tools, leading to 34 arrests and 101 suspects interviewed and cautioned," the statement said.

The operation started on December 5 and lasted until Friday, the statement added. According to the statement, the operation aimed at raising awareness of the risk of teenagers that could become involved in cybercrimes with a potential negative impact on their lives in future.
