Neither the US nor other states think Russia can’t be involved in energy security but we would not like it if a supplying country entered the market and violated the rules, pursuing a monopolist policy, said Amos Hochstein, special envoy and coordinator for international energy affairs at the US Department of State.
Any country, when entering the market, should be allowed to choose a supplier and make a decision on the basis of price factor, Hochstein told a press conference in Baku Dec. 15.
“We wish Caspian marine resources reach the European market. We do believe it will happen,” he added.
