Azerbaijani parliament adopts 2017 state budget and budget package
Proposals of MPs during the discussion of 2017 state budget were analyzed by the government, Finance Minister Samir Sharifov said at the plenary meeting of the parliament.
According to him, the issue of creating financial guarantee required for expenditures on several measures have been considered: “Some proposals by MPs need to be considered for several years. Taking into account the proposal on increase of cultural expenditures, additional AZN 3 million was allocated to the culture. Moreover, expenditures to maintain parliament increased AZN 850,000. Allocation of additional funds for Youth Fund is unacceptable. We don’t think it’s a serious problem to keep the funds unchanged in the Fund”.

The minister added that amendments will be made to the articles #2, 8 and 16 of the state budget for 2017: “These are the articles related to formation of revenues and expenditures. Other proposals of MPs will b e considered stage-by-stage”.

Then, the budget package was adopted.
