The two agreements were signed during the meeting of Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov with Head of Switzerland’s Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA) Didier Burkhalter in Switzerland on Oct. 10.
After the ratification of the agreements by the Azerbaijani Parliament, a visa-free entry and exit for people who have diplomatic and service passports will be ensured by the two countries and visa obtaining process will be facilitated for the people from other categories.

The Azerbaijani Parliament approved the agreement of the Azerbaijani Government and Swiss Federal Council on simplification of visa registration and the agreement of the Azerbaijani Government and Swiss Federal Council on readmission of people residing without permission on Dec. 16.
