He noted that it is his first visit to Azerbaijan and he thanked the Azerbaijani people for hospitality.
The general said he is honored by the meeting he had in Azerbaijan and that the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev is the most gracious leader in this time.
General Darren McDew went on to add that he talked with Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev and the Azerbaijani defence minister about the long-standing interstate security cooperation, and most importantly, what this cooperation would look like in decades.
The general offered his condolences in accordance with the accident in the Caspian Sea that has happened recently.
