Foreign diplomats visit Russian embassy in Baku for condolences
Ambassadors of Germany, Cuba and other countries to Azerbaijan on Wednesday arrived at the Russian Embassy in Baku to sign a book of condolence in honor of the memory of Russian Ambassador to Turkey Andrey Karlov, who had been shot dead in Ankara on Monday.
The foreign diplomats extended their condolences to Russian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Vladimir Dorokhin.

Some Azerbaijani MPs also came to the Russian embassy to offer their condolences over the killing of Andrey Karlov.

The book of condolence will remain open from 10:00AM to 13:00PM today and from 10:00AM to 13:00PM tomorrow.

Andrey Karlov died after receiving fatal wound in an armed assault at an art gallery exhibition opening in Ankara late Dec. 19. Three other people were injured in the attack. The killer, Turkish off-duty police officer Mevlut Mert Altintas, has been eliminated. The Russian Foreign Ministry called the incident an act of terrorism.
