A.Sinanian lives in New York, she is a specialist in law. She participated in a protest in support of the Armenian political prisoners in front of the Embassy of Armenia to the USA.
`I heard of `Baku Platform` from my friends in Yerevan. The Platform aims at reaching sooner resolution of the conflict. This conflict has desolated my country for 30 years. I have both Azerbaijani and Armenian friends here. Other Armenians in the USA hold similar views with me. The Armenian Government tries to convince people that the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict can only be resolved in military way`, she said.
The poor conditions, crimes and fake news in the Armenian media do not allow Armenian citizens to rationally and consciously understand the real state of the country. They are like zombies.
4-day April fights proved that military conflict would cause more serious casualties. Both sides suffered from losses. Sargsyan is responsible for the death of innocent Armenian youth. I know a woman from Gyumri who lost son in the April fight. She openly stated that `not the Azerbaijan side, but Serzh Sargsyan killed her son`, Sinanian said.
Sargsyan is against the peaceful solution of the conflict. It serves his purposes. Moreover, Sargsyan is a putty in Russia`s hands. He even himself does not hide it.
Anahit Sinanian explained the reasons that made her join the Baku Platform.
`Armenian government chases and threatens the people who joined the Baku Platform. I joined the Platform as I wanted my children to live in a well-developed and powerful country. The ones who are against the peace are criminals`, she added.
Like other civil society activists, Sinanian supports the sooner settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict within Azerbaijan`s territorial integrity. She is ready to make any effort for the development of civil diplomacy.
