New Azerbaijan-Iran train to start running on Dec. 29

New Azerbaijan-Iran train to start running on Dec. 29

The Nakhchivan-Mashhad train route between Azerbaijan and Iran will start running on December 29.

The launch of the railway communication will promote further development of tourism between the two countries.

Tickets will be put up for sale in Azerbaijan and Iran. One-way train cost from Nakhchivan to Mashhad will be 40 Swiss francs (about $38 on Dec. 23).

Being located in the northeast of Iran, Mashhad is the second most populous city in the Islamic Republic.
