`The conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia was created artificially for the purpose of simultaneous pressure on both official Baku and Yerevan,`he added.
`This pressure comes from Russia. Russia is not interested in the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, as it does not want to lose its influence on two neighboring countries, hence the whole South Caucasus region.
We understand obstacles which Armenia and Azerbaijan face in the regulation of the conflict. Understanding this fact only strengthens respect for those who are trying to achieve a peaceful solution to the Karabakh conflict through public diplomacy. We do not see the desire of the Armenian Government toward the implementation of a peaceful resolution of the conflict`, said Ariev.
