The ‘Southern Gas Corridor’ project, being implemented on the initiative of Azerbaijan, will make a valuable contribution to strengthening energy security in Europe, Minister of Economy Shahin Mustafayev said in his article published by Azerbaijan newspaper.
The minister said 87 percent of works on full-scale development of gas condensate field Shah Deniz and 72 percent of works on expansion of the South Caucasus Pipeline had already been completed. “The construction work as part of the Trans Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline Project (TANAP) is 60 percent complete and as part of Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) project is 30 percent complete,” he mentioned.
