The second section of Gala-Pirallahi highway has been inaugurated after renovation.
President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and his wife Mehriban Aliyeva attended the opening ceremony.
Chairman of Azeravtoyol OJSC Saleh Mammadov informed the head of state about the works done as part of renovation. He said the second section of the road is 7 km in length. The six-lane road is 34 metres in width. Fourteen bus stops were built along the road. The highway is designed to ensure comfortable and safe traffic flow in the direction of city center, Mardakan and Bilgah as well as Gala and Pirallahi.
President Ilham Aliyev cut the ribbon symbolizing the opening of the highway.
The first section of the 14km highway was inaugurated in October, 2014.
