According to Serbia’s foreign ministry, the next steps regarding the visa regime liberalization will be undertaken in agreement with the competent authorities of Azerbaijan.
The cooperation between the two ministries of the interior should be improved having in mind traditionally friendly relations between the two countries and the need to deepen bilateral relations, on the basis of the Agreement on combating crime, signed in 2010 between the two governments, the ministry added.
Given the above, the establishment of the focal points for the exchange of information is only the first step towards establishing a concrete model of cooperation, which would allow for direct and efficient communication between organizational units, particularly in the field of combating terrorism, the Serbian foreign ministry said.
