An explosion occurred in gas pipeline in Baku - VIDEO, UPDATED
According to Ministry of Emergency Situations, the explosion occurred in 43rd km of Baku-Alat road. After explosion, a fire broke out in the pipeline.
The fire which broke out as a result of the explosion that occurred Tuesday morning on two gas pipelines in Baku’s Garadagh district continues.

As a result of the strong explosion on the gas pipelines passing through the territory of ‘Massiv 3’ residential area, windows and roofs of the houses nearby broke down, AzVision.az reports.

A police post has been set up about 300 meters from the explosion site, and media representatives are not allowed to the scene for safety purposes.

Firefighters of the State Fire Protection Service are battling to extinguish the fire.

Manpower and equipment of the Ministry of Emergency Situations were involved in the scene.

SOCAR confirmed the explosion occurred in one of main gas lines in Sangachal.

According to SOCAR, no one has been injured.

Currently, the line is localized, natural gas pumping is stopped and preparatory works are underway for repair.
