Azerbaijan, Iranian chamber of commerce sign MoU
The National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of Azerbaijan (ASK) and the Iranian Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (ICCIMA) have signed a memorandum of understanding.
The signing took place within the framework of the Azerbaijani-Iranian business forum held in Baku Dec. 27.

In total, more than 200 entrepreneurs representing spheres of industry, agriculture, construction, food industry, pharmaceuticals, car construction, tourism, trade, insurance and others took part in the forum.

Speaking at the business forum, Azerbaijan’s Economy Minister Shahin Mustafayev noted that the economic relations between Azerbaijan and Iran are at a high level.

“According to the data for the first 11 months of this year, the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Iran grew by 60 percent, which is a good indicator,” he said. “Iran can always use the services of our logistics center created in Aktau city, our technology parks and industrial districts.”

The trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Iran amounted to 174.97 million manats in January-November 2016, as much as 130.13 million manats of which fell on the import of Iranian goods to Azerbaijan,” according to the State Customs Committee of the country.
