“Rich people who have big houses and villas should pay more. Who are not rich or representatives of middle class, the state always makes concessions to them. Even the increased tariffs are lower than the tariffs in the neighbor countries. However, I’d like to reiterate that we strengthened the social protection taking the next step. This is a principle of social justice”, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said at the opening of "ASAN Kommunal" Center No1 in Baku.
According to him, the volume of utility services has been changed recently: “This was also a social approach, because after the changes, 75-80% of citizens will make payments for gas and energy on old tariffs. This means most of population will not feel these changes, on the contrary, their social protection will be boosted further next year”.
