Banks owe AZN 8M: Ministry of Taxes

As of January 1, 2017, Azerbaijan-based banks owe AZN 8 million duet o interests and financial sanctions, head of the main department for risk analysis and control of the Ministry of Taxes of Azerbaijan Natig Shirinov said.
According to him, the banks owe AZN 2,190,000 for interests, AZN 4.8 million for financial sanctions: “If the draft law on “Regulation of tax debts of taxpayers as of January 1, 2017“ is adopted, banks’ debts in the amount of about AZN 8 million will be written off”.
