Russian ombudsperson supports Baku Peace Platform
Any dialogue platform established between Armenia and Azerbaijan should be hailed, Russia`s Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsperson) Tatyana Moskalkova said while commenting on the Armenia-Azerbaijan Peace Platform.

`I highly appreciate any dialogue format established to foster the development of peace process between the conflict sides. There is no need for confrontation. Confrontation leads to hate and war. A similar initiation was proposed at the level of Russian parliamentarians`, the ombudsman said.

`When I was MP at the Russian State Duma, we had established such a platform for Armenian and Azerbaijani sides. At the beginning, the Parliament Members of both countries were unfriendly with each-other. However, at the end of the meeting they remembered that they had gone to the same school. Everything cannot be destroyed in a minute. Thus, the dialogue should be maintained between the conflict sides`, Tatyana Moskalkova added.
