Iran cannot interfere in internal affairs of Azerbaijan
Iran cannot interfere in the internal affairs of Azerbaijan, Parliament Speaker Ogtay Asadov said at the parliamentary meeting on Friday.
“We have not reacted to the Iranian president’s recent visit to Azerbaijan. There should be mutual respect in bilateral ties,” Asadov said, commenting on Tehran`s threats against Baku over Israeli PM Netanyahu’s recent visit to Azerbaijan.

Addressing the meeting, MP Gudrat Hasanguliyev noted that the aggression shown by Iran against Azerbaijan after Netanyahu’s visit to Azerbaijan must not go unanswered.

With regard to Iranian defense minister’s recent statement that Tehran will not tolerate good ties between Azerbaijan and Israel, the MP said the deterioration of Azerbaijan-Iran relations will not be in favor of this country.

“If Iran attacks Azerbaijan, it will be wiped off the map and five states will be established in its territory,” he added.
