The report said that in January-October 2016, Turkey imported 36.42 bcm of gas, of which 30.62 bcm were supplied via pipelines, while 5.8 bcm accounted for the import of liquefied natural gas (LNG).
Some 14.57 percent of Turkey`s total gas import accounted for Azerbaijan in January-October 2016.
Turkey imports gas from Azerbaijan via the South Caucasus Pipeline (Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum). The country has a contract for purchasing 6.6 bcm of gas from Azerbaijan`s Shah Deniz gas and condensate field annually.
