Chinese state media said a man with a knife climbed over a wall into the kindergarten and attacked the students.
No children sustained life-threatening injuries, said police. The attack occurred in the southwestern Chinese city of Pinxiang, reported CNN, in the province of Guangxi.
A 41-year-old suspect was apprehended but the reasoning behind the attack has not been made clear.
