Pope Francis to host Palestinian president Abbas on Saturday

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas will meet with Pope Francis in the Vatican on Saturday.

According to The Jerusalem Times, Abbas’ visit comes a day after the Palestinian embassy to the Holy See was opened.

Abbas will also meet reporters and the embassy staff after his meeting with the Pope. This will be the third meeting between the officials. They last met in 2014.
