Umid field justified our hopes - SOCAR vice president

Speaking about the outcomes of 2016, I’d like to note the launch of high-productive new gas and condensate well #14 in Umid field, discovered in 2010, SOCAR first Vice-President Khoshbakht Yusifzade said in his interview to Respublika newspaper.
According to him, they were in hopes about a well rigged in the depth of 6,352 meters in order to appropriate the gas and condensate reserves of the field and approve the hydrocarbon reserves of its northern-east wing: “Four platforms are planned to be constructed and 19 wells to be rigged in these platforms within the development of Umid field, of which the hydrocarbon reserves are estimated at 200 billion cubic meters of gas and 40 million tonnes of condensate according to the initial calculations. Therefore, result of information and drillings from the new well are important for us. We are pleased that Umid justified our hopes. The well produces about 1 million cubic meters of gas and 150 tonnes of condensate per day after perforation works”.
